Wall-mounted touchscreens for school recognition

A wall-mounted touchscreen is the most common way schools add an interactive display to an existing wall. Rocket’s bundles range from a simple mount to fully custom wall designs, so the choice comes down to your space and how much of the wall you want to use.

Why it matters

A bare TV on a wall can look unfinished

Many schools start with a screen bolted to the wall and loose cables running below it. It works, but it rarely looks like part of the building. The right mount, panel or enclosure makes the display look planned and helps visitors notice it.

How it works with Hardware

Wall-Mounted Touchscreen, step by step.

Three steps

  1. Choose your bundle

Compare the wall-mounted bundles and pick a size and style. Rocket can send a free mockup of the bundle on your wall.

  2. Prepare the wall

Arrange mounting with your facilities or IT team, plus a nearby power outlet. Wired Ethernet is recommended; high-speed Wi-Fi can also work.

  3. Connect and launch

Once the screen is mounted, connect it to power and the internet and launch your experience.

Setups vary by school; your demo confirms what yours will use.

Tips to get it right.

Wall-Mounted Touchscreen tips

  1. Match size to viewing distance

Visitors standing close to explore need less screen than people reading from across a lobby. Measure where people will stand.

  2. Plan the cable path early

Decide how power and network cables will reach the screen before the wall is finished, especially for recessed or enclosed setups.

  3. Think about the whole wall

Panels, wraps and enclosures add school colors around the screen. Use them when the wall needs to stand out.

  4. Confirm accessible reach

Ask facilities to check that the touch area is reachable for students and wheelchair users.
