A hall of fame for the community members behind your school

Concession stands, booster clubs, scholarships and new bleachers all start with someone in the community. A community contributors hall of fame thanks those people and shows students how much support surrounds them.

Why it matters

Volunteers are thanked once, then forgotten

Volunteers and local partners give years of time, often without any public record. A thank-you at a banquet is kind but brief. When the next generation of parents arrives, nobody knows who started the traditions they inherit.

How it works with History Showcase

Community Contributors Hall of Fame, step by step.

Three steps

  1. Start with a nominations list

Ask your booster clubs, PTO and athletic office for names. Bring them to the demo to plan the first collection.

  2. Add stories as you go

Staff build each profile in Rocket’s editor and can add new contributors any time with no per-profile fees.

  3. Show it where supporters gather

Supporters find the hall on the web, and a compatible touchscreen in a lobby greets them at events.

Setups vary by school; your demo confirms what yours will use.

Tips to get it right.

Community Contributors Hall of Fame tips

  1. Define community contributor clearly

Decide whether donors, volunteers, partners and staff spouses qualify, and write it down.

  2. Credit groups as well as people

Some support comes from a club or congregation. Give the group a profile with its key members named.

  3. Ask contributors how to be named

Some prefer a couple’s names, a business name or no dollar amounts. Respect it.

  4. Pair it with donor recognition

If you also have a donor wall, decide which collection each supporter belongs in so nobody appears twice by accident.
