Graduation media, kept together for every class

Graduation is the event every family photographs and every alumni office asks about a decade later. Rocket keeps each class’s ceremony photos, recordings and program in one class-year folder with names attached, so nothing depends on one person’s drive.

Why it matters

Graduation photos end up scattered across families

The official photographer, the yearbook staff and hundreds of parents all capture the ceremony, and the school’s own copy is often the hardest to locate. Ten years later, the reunion committee asks for photos the school can’t find.

Ideas for Graduation Media

A class-year folder

Name it “Class of 2027” and keep everything from the last month of senior year inside it.

The ceremony program

Upload the printed program as a PDF. It lists every graduate and the order of the day.

Walk-across photos

If your photographer captures each graduate, keep those in a subfolder titled with names for family requests.

Speeches and performances

Save the valedictorian speech, the choir number and the class gift remarks as video with clear titles.

The senior slideshow

Keep the final slideshow file and the photos used in it, so next year’s organizer can see how it was built.

Pre-ceremony moments

Line-up, cap decorating and the last walk through the halls are the shots people ask for at reunions.

How it works with Media Management

Graduation Media, step by step.

Three steps

  1. Create the class-year folder

Add a folder for the class under the school year with subfolders for the ceremony, senior events and video.

  2. Upload the day in batches

Load photos, recordings and the program together after the ceremony, then add captions and names while they’re fresh.

  3. Reuse it for years to come

Search by class year, name or a description like “caps in the air,” preview the shot and save it for a reunion, post or display.

Setups vary by school; your demo confirms what yours will use.

Best practices

Tips to get it right.

Graduation Media tips

  1. Get the photographer’s files early

Ask the official photographer when and how the full set will be delivered, and upload it as soon as it arrives.

  2. Name the class, not the date

“Class of 2027” is what alumni and staff will search for years later, not the ceremony date.

  3. Set one window for family photos

If you invite family photos, set a short window and one place to send them, then pick the best for the library.

  4. Tag graduates with use limits

Some families limit how a graduate’s photo is shared. Tag those files so staff see the limit before a post goes out.

Questions

Graduation Media questions

Rocket keeps each class’s ceremony photos, videos and program in one folder, with names and dates attached to the files. Staff can search by class or description and download what they need without asking the person who ran the event.
